The mandate to keep continuity of care experiences remains in place. I am drained from this battle but relieved that the curriculum will stay intact for our profession. We need to stay vigilant to ensure this commitment holds firm in the coming years.

Dear ANMAC,

We passionately believe that continuity of care experiences (CCE) need to be maintained for midwifery students. Having CCEs as part of our learning pathway provides us with confidence and is one of the most enriching and exciting parts of our student journey. We feel like our therapeutic communication and clinical skills as well as our understanding of the meaning of "woman centred care" are best taught to us through our CCE women than during any other university experience.

The benefits of a continuity of care model to midwives, women, and their families is well established in the literature and the "towards normal birth" directive. It would be of detriment to our professional development and future careers to not have the opportunity to learn about this in the tangible way that we can through CCE.

Please do not remove continuity of care experiences from our curriculum. We love it. It motivates us. It will make us better midwives in the future.

Kind regards,

Reaching this point in our campaign has been exhausting but watching the support grow gives me the resolve to keep pushing forward. The momentum is undeniable and it proves that we are not willing to let our clinical learning disappear without a fight.

My partner and I were stressed during her pregnancy. Given that the pregnancy took 3 and a half years, The support that Melinda Stevenson gave was INVALUABLE. This service must continue for comfort and security of the parents, and for the experience of the students

My wife had a student midwife for our second baby and it was such a help. Keep this going.

This is SO NECESSARY. without continuity of care i wouldn't have learned how to actually connect with women at all.

CCEs were the highlight of my degree. you learn so much more being there for the whole journey than just doing a shift.

CCEs are extremely valuable for our education.
