Removing our subdivision from Liberty High makes zero sense when we are approximately one mile from the school. The traffic would be a nightmare for morning drop-off and afternoon pick up to and from Timberland on N. In addition, our property price will go down because of the high school rezoning.

Please keep Shady Creek subdivision in LHS boundaries. Built a home for this specific school, so our kids could walk to school.

We sold our house in the Sedona neighborhood to build in Shady Creek. We did this to keep our children in the same schools with the same friends they have grown up with from the Sedona, Preston Woods and Countryshire neighborhoods, since they all connect. Having demanding careers and our kids being able to ride their bikes home was another factor. Please reconsider and look for other options.

All of the points and comments above could not be any more true. Please do not take Shady Creek out of the Frontier/Liberty part of the district.

I would just like to add that we purposefully bought a house in that subdivision so that our children could attend frontier middle and liberty high school. We love those schools and I would be very upset if they end up having to switch :(

As a prior student who was on the committee of students who advised Wentzville staff on important issues within the district and specifically within the new high school (Liberty at the time), I feel it is important to share my opinion on this matter. Dividing the community when Liberty was a new school further divided students and put some students and families in a difficult spot. The same shouldn’t happen here today. Wentzville should do everything in its power to change boundaries as little as possible, especially for current students. Moving students from Liberty to Timberland does not make any sense.

Agree with everything this petition says. Not a single reason it makes sense to send our kids to Timberland

As a homeowner with adult children only, the outcome of this decision still impacts me, my community and home value. Being in the Liberty school district was one of the many reasons I chose Shady Creek.

We built in Shady Creek with the understanding that Liberty would be our high school, and Frontier would be our middle. There were several criteria we considered, proximity being one. Had we known we were going to be zoned to Timberland High and Wentzville South Middle, we would’ve chosen a house much closer to those schools than we are now in Shady Creek.

Multiple reasons, but safety is number 1. Liberty is within walking distance and no major roads need to be used. These boundary changes require my children to go on major roads.

I do not agree with the change. We moved to this subdivision so our kids could attend these schools. This is wrong.
