We don’t need any more housing, traffic, congestion around the beaches area. Keep it commercial and get more restaurants in the area

I think we should be talking about population targets for our island; not adding 230 apartments.

I work at and my family plays at the beach. The traffic and parking are already interesting enough as is. Keep the zoning as commercial.

The apartment project is NOT a benefit to anyone. Only the developer stands to make out in the long run. The traffic will triple the current headaches we all have to deal with right now. Just say NO. Work within the current zoning ordinance.

We must keep lower-density development in tact. Not because personal preferences on a small town feel, but due to the limited space our small city has for traffic, parking, etc. for years developers have been knocking down old homes and in their place building 2, or a condo unit, or duplex. My point is everytime this is done the population increases. However the space does not and the development for parking, and traffic flow does not. We are failing to see the impact of over population in the future. Growth is fantastic, however it must be planned appropriately. Our streets (3rd) can hardly handle the traffic load now from our citizens on top of visitors. Now add two homes where only one was previously, a duplex where a single family Home was previously, a 300 unit apartment complex where a business was previously, a condo unit holding 10 + units where a business was previously...SEE WHERE IM GOING. This is not being accounted for. Why? It can take over 30min to get from Atlantic Blvd on 3rd to JTB which is only a few miles. The oversized concreate medians that block turning lanes all down 3rd streeet back up traffic imensly. There needs to be some regulation put in place to limit the growth on residential units that increase the residential living that was previously in the spot. This increase is just too much for our small roads to handle and there is no denying this. We need a plan to solve this l! More homes, more condos, more apartments, is not the answer.

We have development regulations in place to control over development. We should follow them.
This is an unwanted intrusion.
Don’t think apartments would help the area.
