I absolutely agree - NO apartment complex or condos. We do not wish to be another Miami or even a Myrtle Beach!

The idea for building apartment/retail spaces on the old Kmart area is a bad idea. It would make a traffic nightmare. Both cross streets Atlantic and 3rd would be at a standstill. The additional retail idea would be cramped in stores backed into a corner.
It would not be family safe.
The proposed path to jarboe park will interfere with current homeowners properties and fences.
I feel the out of town development company has no stake in our community's future except to profit.
I believe there is nothing good in this idea, and think the property should be used for city Hall and police.
(Something we do need here.)

Against building apartments in Neptune Beach. Traffic will become a nightmare at Town Center & Atlantic Blvd. Public safety will also not be ideal any more with all those residents & their guests. When you live at the beach you always have company.

Lived in Neptune Beach all my life. Would like to see some sort of an attraction, something to give kids/visitors to do. No more apartments!! Jax beach/Atlantic beach is FULL of them. We don’t need any more!

It took 2 years to receive a variance to do a new foundation to my residence and to remodel using the exact footprint of the standing property. One big issue was permeable surface. My drive way had to be torn out and replaced with pavers set in sand in order to do anything. I was also told residence must be changed to single family n order to remodel as Neptune Beach did not want over crowding and renters to increase the density of Neptune beach. I do not believe an apartment complex with a non penetrating surface meets these requirements on several levels. I am against this variance and do not believe it will enhance this community in any way

I am a Neptune Beach resident. I think any development should follow existing zoning without exceptions or variances.

This builder has already provided the beaches with extremely congested, ugly apartments that leave impervious surfaces subject to flood.

Traffic is now very heavy. Our most used streets, and town center businesses access, are not large enough to accommodate additional traffic generated by this new apt. Complex residents and their visitors.

I live in Summer Sands and it is difficult enough right now to come out and go west on Atlantic. 500-1000 new people coming from the beachside would be devastating to our little community!!!

This development is not in the best interest of either Atlantic Beach or Neptune Beach. The area is already very congested and this development would only exacerbate the traffic and parking problems we currently have.

The area is not currently able to handle the overcrowding. There is and lack of parking for the volume of people who already migrate Thurs-Sunday to hang out at the beach. This will ruin the overall experience for everyone trying to enjoy the area.

We have already overbuilt and "commercialized" our sweet corner of Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach. This development is not in line with the Neptune Beach lifestyle. Our roads are already congested, especially on the weekends. Our schools are crowded already, Keep Neptune Beach the sweet, simple town we all love!

A big apartment complex would only negatively contribute to the already exceeded carrying capacity in the beaches area. Together we can think of many more ways to use this space for something more positive!

Please don’t destroy our beautiful beach community for a quick dollar bill. Please think of everything other than your wallet for once please! This will ruin the great beach vibe that Neptune has. Clearwater beach use to be my favorite beach before they became sellouts and now I don’t even like driving through the town. Please don’t ruin our great town please.
