He was and still is an amazing man and teacher!! If it wasn't for him and the ROTC Program, I would be who I am today! Keep Colonel Pugh!!!!

I fully support Col Pugh. He was a Godsend to my son Ricky. The love and kindness he showed my family during our deepest hour will be remembered for all my life. He is a superior leader, not just teacher. He is the kind of man that exemplifies a role model.

This is terrible decission on the administration's part. Colonel Pugh is JROTC of Deland and the cadets would not be who they are with out this man. Do not make this huge mistake.

I strongly disagree with admin asking Colonel to resign. I have had the please to work closely with him this year as the parent booster president and I have learned a great deal about this man's character and he is one of the most honest and sincere persons I know. He cares deeply for the kids and loves what he does as a Senior Aerospace Science Instructor. He is always giving his free time and resources to serve the kids. I would hate to think of what JROTC life would be like without him. Not to mention the fact that forcing a resignation such as this would have a devastating impact on the program. He and the program need time to prepare for this so that it is a smooth transition to the new SASI instructor that would replace him when its time. To rush this would result in pure chaos for next years students and the program. And besides all that I have already said earlier the reasons for asking him to resign are political in nature and the allegations are one sided. In my opinion there is no valid reason to request him to resign.
