Colonel Pugh was a great person to work with and always had the interest of the cadets in mind.

Florida--- Col Pugh is a very motivational instructor and cares greatly about each of his cadets and their families. I can say that without a doubt my son enjoys this class the most out of every class he has taken at Deland High.

I am at a loss to understand the rationale behind such a request? I am a veteran of Jr. ROTC as well as the US Army. I believe the colonel is an honorable man and he has proven himself a wonderful instructor to both of my children. This is far more than I can say for many of the other teachers and staff at DHS. Keep Co. Pugh in place! Keep honor at DHS.

Col is the heart and soul of DHS AFJROTC. He always cares more about these cadets than about himself. Please allow him to stay as head of the AFJROTC program.

Col. Pugh is the heart of the program. To lose him would be a huge blow to the program. He has been an insperation and role model to my daughter.

When researching what schools would be best for my children, Deland High stood out, mainly because of the AFJROTC program, and the credentials of Colonel Pugh. My daughter plans to make the Air Force her career, and is brokenhearted over the news of his impending retirement. I fear that she may not even stay in the program - especially if Treena Merck stays on.
Keep colonel Pugh
