Keep Coach Ed

I've been involved with BEHS Volleyball since 1996 when my oldest daughter played. There has never been a coach that cares more about the players and their successes in the classroom and on the court than Ed. His more than 200 wins was celebrated by administration, players, their families, assistant coaches and students who support the team. Even with the celebration of this milestone he humbly gave all the credit to the girls and their parents for placing their faith and trust in him and his staff. He has always been all about the kids. Isn't that what a good coach and good leader is supposed to be.

As a rival... I wish this happened before by daughter's senior volleyball year was over! JUST KIDDING!!! What is wrong with this picture... Firing great, winning coaches in Bullitt County seems to be a trend. Not sure BE is making a good decision here... I have always thought he was a great coach(says a lot from a "rival" mom! Was there any reason that was given on why they wouldn't renew his contract????

Keep Ed as coach. Why would you get rid of a good thing? Not a smart move

Ed is not only a great Coach but he is a great role model for his athletes. He wants the best for them on and off the court and will do what's necessary to ensure success.

Hey Bullitt County, it's time to take a stand and do what's RIGHT! How many good coaches will be let go before you get it? What you permit, you promote! Give'm hell Ed.

How can they let someone with that much dedication and experience go? Those kids love & respect him. Great loss to the program.

I used to play for Coach Ed, he is not only an amazing coach but an amazing person. He has and continues to donate so much of his time to this program and goes out of his way for the program and his players. He has done many things off the court that proves he genuinely cares about his players. A few of many examples; the team used to have no locker room we used to have to just keep our things up in the bleachers while playing our games and we had nowhere we could meet as a team. There was a locker room in the gym that hadn't been used in years and was used to store old chairs and tables. Coach Ed got the approval, cleaned out this locker room and fixed it up for the team with his own time and money so that his players could finally have their own locker room they deserved. He has gone out of his way to bring in various college coaches for clinics not only for more practice but to also give his players the opportunity to be seen and make contacts with college coaches nearby. He does this because he not only cares about the volleyball program at Bullitt East but he cares to see his players go on and succeed in their own personal volleyball careers beyond the high school level. Coach Ed has transformed Bullitt East Volleyball from a team into a family and it would be a major loss if he didn't return.

I have had the pleasure of not only running a business with Ed, but also coaching with him for the last 9 years. I can not say enough great things about ED....from his passion and great knowledge for the sport of volleyball to him being a wonderful role model for his girls. He cares for his girls and wants them to be their greatest on and off the court and will help them in any way possible to achieve their goals. He truly makes a difference and is an asset to any program he is involved in.

Even though he's on the rival team he has to be one of the best coaches and can always put a smile on your face if your having a bad day! Love you Ed!

Why get rid of someone that gives to these young women knowledge of the game of volleyball.
