Clive is invaluable to Moody. His grace and care for students while staying faithful to the gospel is absolutely one of the biggest blessings. The school would suffer greatly to lose him.

It would be horrendous for Moody to loose Clive. How can you care about students of color and work in the city, if you get rid of one of the biggest advocates.

Clive Craigen had an incredible impact on how I view humanity and the rest of God's creation. He taught me that a person's story matters. He taught me that the being a minister of reconciliation is more than just speaking the Word boldly with love. It is to care for the vulnerable, the oppressed and silenced. No other professor at moody encouraged me in this.... To decline to renew Mr. Craigen's contract would be a testimony of Moody's lack of commitment to speak up, and not remain silent during social and racial injustice in our world.

The loss of Professor Craigen would be a huge blow to the Intercultural Ministry Department, not to mention the student body. Craigen devotes his life to moving the student body and future leaders in the church to caring for the whole city of Chiacgo, the whole world, not a select demographic. This is desperately needed in the global body of Christ today. If MBI chooses to let him go, I would seriously question their devotion to following the command of Christ to love your neighbor.

I’m a 2017 Seminary graduate. Never took a class with this professor but have witnessed the impact he has had on the many students and I resonate with the feelings (with facts also) of those who are expressing their sincere desire for him to stay and are signing this petition.

As a Mexican American very few leaders at Moody made me feel welcomed and safe and at home. Moody let go of President Nyquist who loved and faught for minorities just as Clive has and does. Moody needs people like Clive and with events like this I feel Moody is pushing aside minorities feeling, thoughts, and voices, by removing leaders who are the for them and leaders who lead programs effectively that reach our friends and family. Moody Leaders, act in the Spirit not the heart of men.

As an urban ministry graduate and a former urban cohort member I have been deeply impacted by Professor Craigen. For Moody to not renew his contract would be a grave loss for our institution, the student body, and this city. It would also demonstrate a lack of commitment to diversity and student presence in our city.
