Everyone should have a choice in this. We are being stripped of ours.

I do not want the vaccine nor do I feel it should be mandatory. It isn’t even FDA approved. I feel as though if I were to take it and something should happen to me, you guy should be held accountable.

According to clinicaltrials.gov, the covid vaccine studies will not be completed for fda approval until April 2023. I would never participate in a clinical trial before covid and I do not feel safe participating in the COVID-19 vaccination clinical trial. I will feel safe receiving this vaccine once the studies have been completed and they are able to identify the long term affects caused by this new RNA vaccine.

Online classes have become more convenient and a benefit to my education. Being in the comfort of my home with all my supplies makes it easier. In addition, sitting in a classroom for lecture isn't necessary since Chamberlain isn't even able to accommodate us all. Being at home means not dealing with the traffic and late policy; it means that we are still able to communicate with our professors as well and use the group chat and clinical experience to also ask peers questions. Chamberlain is always sending us emails & notifications about how they are trying to make it beneficial for our education (ex. ASPIRE) and when we are providing recommendations about how it could help they don't want to listen to our choices. Regarding the COVID vaccine, it definitely should be the individual's choice to get it or not. I understand and respect others' preference to get it, but that doesn't mean I have to also do so. I will comply with staying 6 feet apart & wearing a mask, but I will advocate for myself and my peers to get the choice to do whatever they want for their bodies. This vaccine hasn't been fully approved and the fact that at any moment different data could come up and provide us with negative information about it, I don't want my health to be the test subject and have effects from that. It is unfair that I have only 1 year left at Chamberlain and this vaccine is standing in the way of me getting my degree. If it's not a requirement at my hospital job, I don't think it should be necessary at Chamberlain.

Keep classes online! It is not right to not respect students autonomy for those who wish to wait for it to be FDA approved, for those who are trying to have more children there is not enough information on this vaccine and it is still in the study trial. There has been Vaccine deaths as well, so why is chamberlain not stating anywhere that they will be held responsible if there are severe adverse reactions that may leave some people debilitated, or even if it results in death? Or will they just brush it off as natural causes?? They are also not taking those students who suffer with mental health into consideration, those who have a heightened anxiety to this vaccine, those who have spent thousands of dollars into this school and to feel that they are left not knowing what to do now. Education should not be held due to having a vaccination, and those who choose to not vaccinate should be required to wear mask just as those who refuse the flu shot. As future nurses we should respect the autonomous decisions our patients make even if it goes against our values, we should never force a patient into doing what they are not willing to do, this is drilled into us so why are we now being forced once we are so deeply committed to a school who is constantly changing their policies and curriculum every other session?

COVID vaccine should not be mandatory. Making it mandatory is violating our rights of patient autonomy.

Lectures should be virtual period. Considering that Troy campus dont even have enough space for social distance. Since they very first day we have been virtual and we have gotten use to the routine which is working for us. While take us back now and mess up our routine we worked so hard to build, when we only have a year left. Honestly where is the Chamberlain CARE, the school preach about.

This should be a choice! Not a decision that stands in between me and my education

Forcing a vaccine that is not FDA approved is not an appropriate answer. Keep classes online and keep us safe!

Online makes it so much easier for me to attend full time and take care of my children and ailing mother. I am an evenings and weekends student as as many of us are am a non traditional student. If COVID has taught anything I feel that it has taught us that there are different ways to do things such as all lecture being online. Thank you

Classes need to be online and flexible for accommodating the current population and now we’ve seen it can be done!
