Please slow Cibo to get a liquor license. Nowhere to dine in Glencoe. Residents have to go to other towns for dinner options!

I think that it's nice to have options for dining in our town. We should encourage and support local businesses. The restaurant across the street has a liquor license so why is it so hard for CIBO to get one?

We live in Glenview and have recommended Cibo to several of our friends so disappointed have heard only really great things. It would be a shame to have it close.

As a former Glencoe resident (2001-2014) I fully support any effort to increase business and a public presence in the town. Give them a liquor license, or agree to BYOB!

It is time for the Village to have some ownership in retail in Glencoe. Opting in for expansion of the Writers Theater and the influx of non residents will require more services, alimentation and libations. The residents, officials, and the Village need to embrace change.

I don't know the history for strictly prohibiting BYOB but strongly believe a reasonable provision for temporary allowances while active and good faith effort is being aid to obtain a liquor lisence makes good business sense. Allowing a new restaurant to close after one month over an issue so seemingly simple to adapt to is not in the best interests of the Villiage of Glencoe's reputation or economic health of surrounding businesses. Additionally, if Glencoe residents are this concerned, they should continue to frequent the restaurant sans the wine for dinner once a week until the matter is resolved. Don't abandon the business while they need patrons most to survive deliberation on the potential solutions.

Cibo is such a fabulous new addition to our town which has long needed more dining choices. Hopefully this gets resolved NOW - our residents don't understand why the Village Board would run such a fine new establishment out of town. We deserve answers!

I'm confused...aren't we trying to act on the village Urey results of what people say they wanted most? More dining options? Places to gather, eat and socialize with fellow with community members?

Winnetka Wilmette and Glencoe desparately need good restaurants. Having one close because the village is too hard to deal with should absolutely not happen. Listen to the residents on this ... It is a huge issue.

Why wouldn't you want to help keep a local business open? BYO is a great, affordable option for local residents.

This is a great addition to the community and it would be a major disappointment for it to be closed due to a closed minded decision regarding their liquor license
