It seems poor business on the part of the Village not to grant the liquor license to Cibo. The two previous restaurants in that location were given licenses. If Glencoe truly wants to keep its downtown vital and attractive to customers and businesses, they need to handle licensing in a timely and fair manner. It would be a shame to loose a another restaurant/Glencoe business.

Allowing BYOB seems like a sensible compromise to keep this fine addition in our community.

Cibo is a welcome addition to town. It is impossible for a nice restaurant with quality food to survive without selling wine, beer and liquor. Please grant a liquor license.

As the property owner of the Cibo Trattoria location, vice-president of the Glencoe Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the chamber's economic development committee, I implore the Village of Glencoe to immediately come to terms with ownership group of Cibo Trattoria which will enable them to obtain BYO privileges or a license to sell and serve alcohol in order for them to continue to operate this first class restaurant which the community has clamored, needs and deserves.
I was very pleased to have been able to be a small part of the process which brought this valuable business to our wonderful community and give the good people of Glencoe and other communities something to be excited about and enjoy.
I, along with the restaurant ownership group, invested tens of thousands of dollars in this space in order to provide a great dining experience.
Cibo has generated an exciting "buzz" within Glencoe and has provided a conduit for keeping and bringing in dining dollars to our community. These funds benefit many parties, including other businesses within Glencoe as well as the Village till.
There is a solution to every problem and it is my hope that the Village can and will work with the Cibo owners in order to resolve this issue to satisfaction for all concerned, including most importantly, the residents and business owners of Glencoe.

Has the village been negatively impacted by allowing Guildhall to offer liquor? I think village leadership is not in touch with what the residents of Glencoe desire.

I believe it would be a benefit for the residents of Glencoe to have another fine-dining restaurant in our village. I also believe it would be a financial benefit to the village and therefore to the residents. At the very least we should be entitled to an explanation of why this liquor license is not being granted.

As residents, we would be so disappointed if Glencoe lost another excellent and locally owned business.

I am a Glencoe resident and was so happy to learn that there was going to be a new establishment in town where one could enjoy a nice mean and, yes, even a glass of wine. I am very sad to hear that the village is making that impossible. So disappointing!!!
