I took Chinese for 3 years while I was at West. She was a kind and passionate teacher. I always looked forward to attending class because she was always encouraging and patient with us students.

I’m a west high alum, and when i saw the news that the program was being cut i was devastated. The chinese program is a huge part of the west high curriculum and culture, not to mention that the teacher has been with the school for nearly 2 decades. Cutting this program is a huge mistake

I took Chinese 3, AP, and IB during my time at West. It's an amazing class with many practical uses and it would be a shame to cut this program. 谢谢罗老师!

Ms. Lou has been the best teacher I could’ve had at West High, she made everyone feel so included. Learning Chinese, a new language, is very hard but she made it so understandable and easy to learn. West High prides its self on the diversity and inclusivity that they offer, taking Chinese classes away would take away an essential part of that inclusivity.
We need these programs.
