Why is West eliminating the Chinese program-one of the most used languages in the world? This language program has benefited so many students in so many ways for so many years. Please keep the Chinese program and keep West continued to be well known for its many different programs available for the students there.

The multicultural diversity at West is why I chose to attend West for my education, and the Chinese language program was a large part of my experience. Cutting this program and Emmy Luo would be a detrimental loss to West!

The Chinese program was crucial to my formative cultural education and it would be a shame to see this program cut. West High used to be a bastion of global learning.

The Chinese program at West was very beneficial to me and other students in my cohort. After taking Chinese with Mrs. Luo, I went on to serve a mission in Taiwan for two years, continued to take advanced Chinese language and translation classes in college, and have a lasting interest in Chinese language and culture. I would strongly advocate for keeping these classes at West High.

The Chinese program should stay as it is a great learning course in this high school! Please let it stay as it is an very engaging course and allows children to learn a second language from a young age.
