Cherrydale is the closest library to my grand-daughter's house, so we go there frequently. It is a lovely neighborhood facility and it would be a shame to lose this. It is a wonderful community asset, not only for Cherrydale, but for all of Arlington. Please do not close it.

Access to free books and educational materials for kids and adults is more important now than ever!!! Having easy access and a neighborhood library allows kids to access the library on their own by walking. A more educated community is a safer community, a happier community, and a successful community. We HAVE to protect libraries, as our current president is devaluing education and resources for kids nationally.

This is idiocy by a bureaucrat (s) who seek to dumb down Arlington County. To what ends?
Cherrydale Library is not only a historic & well loved asset for the community, but a natural hub & unique resource. The so-called County Manager seeks to destroy learning & knowledge for present and future generations in North Arlington and outlying people who also use this precious library. We need to build more libraries, not destroy existing ones. Why are they doing this?

Please keep Cherrydale Library open! We have been frequent users of this library branch for so many years and have enjoyed the youth programs and the warm and welcoming environment. This is a safe space for tween and teens from Dorothy Hamm to use after school. At a time when the County Board is looking to support more out of school programs for youth, it makes no sense to close a library that is frequented by middle schoolers as a safe place for them to go after school. It would be a shame to lose this community gem that is used by so many residents in our community!

As an Arlington County resident, I would urge the county to keep this cost-effective community facility open. Few things provide the benefits to people of all ages that a library does for such a low cost.
