This is a neighborhood treasure. There must be some way for the County budget analysts to trim overhead rather than tear away part of what makes Cherrydale such a great place to live.

My husband frequently walks from our home near Marcey Road to the Cherrydale branch, and I walk there from time to time. Given that we usually are returning/checking out a lot of books we do not usually walk to the Central library.

This is a wonderful local library. When our girls were young we walked there multiple times a week. Warm welcoming place and a key part of our community.

A Cherrydale library is an invaluable community gathering spot and resource. I hope the county can prioritize funding for this given all the benefit benefits to the community. Laura Patching

I’ve cherished the Cherrydale library for 50 years. My children and grandchildren used and still use it regularly. We’ve endured enormous changes in Cherrydale over the years. Please don’t take away our friendly, helpful and outstanding branch. It serves many, many patrons daily.

I get all my books on hold from Cherrydale as it's the closest to my home and the parking is much easier to find than at Central. When my daughter was at Dorothy Hamm middle school, she and her friends could hang out at the library after school so it is an important facility for much more than just getting books. Please do not close it--it's not worth saving a small amount of money for the tremendous loss it would be to the local community.
Please keep Cherrydale Library open!
