Keep Cherrydale Library Open

This library is a vital resource to the surrounding neighborhoods, its closure would be a huge lose to information and educational resources, a key community space, access to Internet and printing, and a historic piece of the community. While there are other branches that offer the same services these are not accessible to many in the area - including tweens and teens who are able to get to this local branch on their own, and other residents who do not have the means of transportation or time to visit further branches.

Cherrydale library is in a unique location next to a middle school and not far from several elementary schools that make it incredibly accessible. The minor cost is overcome by huge community benefits to this library.

The Cherrydale library is a valuable community space for kids and adults alike. Please don’t get rid of it!

This library is a vital part of this community. It provides a walkable location, lots of kids' programs, and book clubs. Please keep it going.

Elaborate is a very important thing for any Neighbourhood. Keep our eyes open.!

I strongly opposed closing this valuable neighborhood asset that is such a vital part of the community it serves. Its value goes far beyond the relatively minor cost of continuing its operation. I have attended programs at this library and fully understand why it is cherished.

I have been going to Cherrydale Library since I was a toddler - and now I take my own toddler there! It's his favorite library - we go multiple times a week - and it has the perfect children's area for young kids. No other Arlington library is as friendly and accessible for young children.

The Cherrydale library is a beloved neighborhood institution and one that we visit frequently. Keep Cherrydale open and accessible to all!

How can anyone think closing a library is a good idea? It's one of the best defenses we have to the challenges of technology and AI. Ask ANY teacher about how current generations of school children are faring .... Libraries are the antidote - cheap, no negative side effects, only benefits. You cannot undo the lifelong impact of libraries on children (and adults). There is no better money spent. (and cheap at that!).

Best little library, staff is helpful and my grandkids love it!
