Keep Cherrydale Library Open

I think it's important to have a library right in our neighborhood. It may be a luxury, but it's one Arlington can afford--I put it way ahead of road humps and roundabouts.

Please find somewhere else to cut. The homey environment provides a non - intimidating experience for all age groups

Libraries are needed for the community, to build the love for reading, to disseminate facts & knowledge and grow thinking adults. Budget shortfalls should not result in shutting libraries but rather in ensuring EVERYONE pays their share of taxes including Corporations located in Arlington!

Please keep our local library brings the community together and serves as an important gathering place and learning spot for all who lived in our neighborhood.

The Cherrydale Library is closely associated with racial integration in Arlington. This is NOT a time to dishonor our history!

We visit this library weekly and would be devastated if it closed. The budget saving seem insignificant for such a worthwhile place for Arlington families.

Please keep Cherrydale Library open!y kids are just getting old enough to read and enjoy this place that we can walk to easily. The library puts on good programs that reach a variety of ages and we’d hate to see it become something else.

Why does this county keep trying to close our historic library? It also has developed a habit of ignoring our few remaining historic sites!

My family loves coming here for storytime and playing in the loft area. We care deeply about this library and would be heartbroken should it close.

Please save our library.

Local libraries are a vibrant part of every neighborhood

Please, please do not close Cherrydale library! Arlington Public Libraries should be considered a valuable “core service” and not budget line item that can be used to fund other County fiscal shortcomings.

Kids from dorothy hamm live to come here after school and do homework.

Wonderful local setting for library!

Please please please do not close this library!! My children developed a love of reading because of this wonderful place!

This was the library that my 72yo father biked to when he was a child, that ignited his love of reading. It’s also the library where my 5th grader enjoys coming every week in the summer to pick out a new crop of books, and where I pick up my own books. Central Library is not a good enough substitute for our Cherrydale Library.
