Please do NOT close Cherrydale Library! I love this library! It's a real community library - it's not huge like the central library. It's a nice place to take children and a peaceful, safe place for the elderly. Please keep this treasured and historic library!

Highlight of our neighborhood! Part of our walkable Cherrydale, Maywood Community. A very small percentage of the County’s budget with immense rewards!

It is interesting to me that with budget cuts needed, what we would choose to target is a public library--whose operating costs far outweigh their financial burden. Perhaps enlist some volunteer consultants in the community who could help identify other ways to trim spending that is much more wasteful.

For more than 50 years, the Cherrydale Library has been a gathering place for Arlington children from 2 to 20 years old, for seniors looking for a quiet place to read, catch up on community notices and/or log into the Internet, and for adults of all ages looking for a good new (or old) book to read. And we all benefit from the help and advice provided by
the knowledgeable and gracious Cherrydale librarians,

This is the only library I use because I like the size and accessibility. I also meet there with my knitting group!

We love Cherrydale Library! Our children are growing up while attending events there, and it's our go-to place to pick up books. Please rethink this!

This is a revered part of the Cherrydale and surrounding neighborhoods. It builds community in Arlington and it would be short sighted to close a library which does not cost a lot to operate. This effort is resurrected periodically by the County and should be defeated again! Elizabeth Hayes

Keep community. Keep Cherrydale library open - it's friendly and helpful. Find one of your useless projects to cut! (Maybe a roundabout?)
