The ease and flexibility of this small library is wonderful for county residents. DO NOT CLOSE!!!

I use this library. Please don’t shut it.

I use this library many times each month. I grew up with this library, my children have grown up with this library. Central library is not a sufficient replacement for those of us on this side off Langston.

We are elderly residents who live Vacation lanei and use almost dally the Cherrydale library to read newspapers and pick up books.

This library has been part of my life for all seventeen years. I grew up visiting Cherrydale with my mom, learning to read on the second floor, joining summer reading programs, checking out hundreds of books, making countless trips, and even learning how to play chess there. Cherrydale is a true cornerstone of the community—a welcoming space where people of all ages can discover, rekindle, or deepen their love of reading.

I have regularly enjoyed the approachability and programming offered by the Cherrydale library.

I go to the Cherrydale library at least once a month.

We love to go to Cherrydale Library! Is the perfect safe and quiet place for my kids to find their favorite books.

I walk to Cherrydale library at least once a week. It is a cherished resource for community and information. Please keep it open and operational!

Parking at Central Library is challenging with construction in the area. We prefer to visit our neighborhood library for books and actyivities

I do not accept the proposed closing of Cherrydale Library. It is a beautiful, historic, critical part of Arlington that serves its community on a shoestring budget. What message does it send to close a beloved, historic library branch in Arlington, Virginia? How does that reflect the values we so proudly espouse? “Arlington will be a diverse and inclusive world-class urban community with secure, attractive residential and commercial neighborhoods where people unite to form a caring, learning, participating, sustainable community in which each person is important.” — Arlington County Board The county's vision perfectly describes the library. We must preserve, protect, and celebrate it.

Please keep the library open

Please keep the library open. It has been serving our community for over 100 years. If you close it, we won't forget, you can be sure!

The Cherrydale Library holds a unique iconic status in Arlington, and perhaps Virginia. In this time of national turmoil, libraries, and particularly this library, are important places of stability and comfort.

We wish to keep this library open. Move the funds around and make this happen for our community.
