I take part in a weekly clothing mending group that the Cherrydale Library sponsors - this is a perfect example of creating vibrant and strong community that a branch library is integral to.
Having as widely spread a network of branch libraries as possible would seem to much better support all the aims for which we have libraries!

I attend a visible mending group at the Cherrydale library on a regular basis. This small intimate space is perfect for our activities l. Every time. I go to the library the parking lot is full and there are many people in the facility. Clearly, it is a venue that people need. Please do not close the library.

As a leader in education, Arlington County should never sacrifice a library for a minuscule budget cut. The citizens of Arlington value education like no other municipality. Let’s show that commitment to learning and knowledge through our actions.
