We use this walkable library all the time! My kids grew up loving it too. P.S. my father, a structural engineer, helped design this building. Save it!

Please keep the library open. We need to keep access for the community to encourage reading instead of video games and TV!

I have been using this library to study since I was at Stratford Middle School. My children have used it and I visit the library regularly for a serene place to read and pickup new books. I am okay paying high taxes because Arlington has places like this where kids can go do homework, read, and sometimes get help with homework. Please do not shut down this library.

This library is what a library should be:— a community gem that brings people together. It offers magazines, books, videos, excellent programs. How disastrous it would be to close down this beloved landmark. .

Small community-based libraries are absolutely essential info hubs and gathering places as they provide free and equitable access to information, technology, and educational resources, including valuable children’s programming. Cherrydale Library is a cost-effective neighborhood gem that fosters cohesion, ensures a safe space, and does so much more for the community. Memo to the County: Reading IS fundamental, as is the local library system. Want to cut the budget? Look elsewhere.

Cherrydale Library is a convenient walk from my home and is a place I visit at least weekly. I urge you to keep it open and operating.

Eliminating this space is an insignificant savings for the county and a great cost to our community. It's status as Arlington's oldest library should earn it some respect!

Our libraries are one of the best things about Arlington County. The savings of $450,000 is relatively insignificant . Please find other ways to balance the budget.

Closing such an asset would be a shame because it maintains our quality of life.

A treasure and very tangible use for our tax dollars that we visit frequently. Let’s encourage reading, not cancel it…

Cherrydale Library is one of the coziest libraries that makes you want to stay. It would be so sad to lose this pleasant community space for an outreach librarian.

I love this library. It is more than supported by the tax base it serves. If the county is so hard up, maybe some of the useless road construction projects could be shelved. Our neighborhood has put up with unceasing detours for little reward. Don't take that poor financial planning out on the library system.

Even though this isn't our closest branch, it has one of the best children's collections and great programming!
