Keep Cherrydale Library Open

Please keep the library open! It’s a charming library creating amazing memories for families with kids and other patrons! In times like these, the last place we should be closing is a library.

This is a fantastic community resource and should remain so.

An excellent meeting point for the community.

Libraries are unique. Serve community in more ways than just traditional functions

I love visiting this library above all others. It is not massive to overwhelm, my children walk to the library on their way home from school and get their homework completed and it is a beautiful space for the neighborhood. Frequently our book club meet there too.

There is ZERO reason to shut down a library. This is a cynical and greedy money grab that would deny the community FREE AND OPEN ACCESS to reading and learning resources. Shame on short-sighted, money-grabbing Arlington Co Board members. Wake up. FREE READING FOR ALL!

Central is too large for my toddler and the staircase is dangerous - At Cherrydale she can safely explore the children’s section and not get lost.

Attempts to close this branch are criminal

Preserve our libraries. And expand its offerings. Not cut.

I grew up in Arlington and used the library starting in the 70’s Please don’t close

Resources especially book resources are becoming scarce due to unsmart financial decisions- don’t leave our kids our future kids and our senior community without an established place to go. Former resident and user of Cherrydale library!

Please keep this library open.

We love this library. Don’t close a treasure. Libraries need to be accessible to all, large or small.

I vote to save the library!!!

Keep all libraries free and open to the public. Everyone deserves to read free of charge and not have to pay corporations (looking at you, Amazon...) to enjoy reading!!

This is a historical significant building and enhances the neighborhood. Shutting it down would further the characterless trend that Arlington appears to be heading. By less snowplows instead as snow is becoming more rare than books.

Find another way to save money that’s better than closing a library. For the love of Pete our children already at a disadvantage. Don’t make it worse!
