Instead of mixing girls into boy scouts; girl scouts should just pursue similar activities based on the groups' interest.

Boy Scouts is for boys, and Girl Scouts is for girls. There are separate organizations.

It’s called Boy Scouts for a reason. BSA cane up with Adventuring Scouts and Sea Scouts to incorporate girls. Boy Scouts should remain just boys as it always has.

I understand that Girl Scouts want to enjoy the same activities as the Boy Scouts but letting girls in the boyscout program is not the way to fix it. The officials in the Girl Scout program should’ve changed the way their program operates and allow more activities for girls to do so they don’t fell left out. Now an amazing program over 100 years old is giving in to political correctness and liberal ideas.

As a former Boy Scout I am truly disgusted by this choice that has ruined the long standing tradition that catered to young boys and men to become useful members of society and made it un-special.

The Boy Scouts of America was founded in 1910. Ever since then, it has been a way for boys and men to bond in the out doors and get away from women. It has been a way for man to teach boy how to survive in the wilderness. It was a way for fathers to teach their sons how to become a man. In 1912, The Girl Scouts of America were founded to give a helping hand to those in need and improve every corner of the world (girlscouts.org). Ever since then (105 years) Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts have been just fine with their arrangement. Nobody hated the opposite gender and nobody tried to give them unequal rights. No boy or girl (yes, there is only 2) wanted to join scouts with their opposite gender because they had pride in what they were doing. In 1930,however, Venture Scouts (then known as Senior Scouts) was founded as a way for any scouts (male or female) over the age of 14 to join a scout troop that was co-ed (meaning for both boys and girls). Ever since 1930, there has been peace among the girls in Girl Scouts, the boys in Boy Scouts and the boys and girls in Venture Scouts. Boy Scouts has been very successful as well as Girl Scouts. Both have been working perfectly. In recent times, however, girls have decided that they want the rank of Eagle and to be in Boy Scouts which is not okay because it is BOY Scouts. I think to resolve this matter, girl scouts should be taught like, but not the same as, Boy Scouts. They should have a high rank that is well respected, but not the same as the Rank Eagle Scout. Please keep my thoughts in consideration and let's keep the history of Scouting pure and true.

This should never happen I'm truly upset and don't see why you have to allow girls in the the BOY SCOUTS! Makes no sense. If that's the case for having them become eagle scout they need a better program in the girlscouts!......

As an Eagle Scout, with a dad who is an Eagle Scout, and a recently deceased grandfather who is an Eagle Scout, this makes me sad. My son is due to be born in December. I was excited to experience scouting all over again with him. He will not be joining the program if this is case. This is not what Boy Scouts is. Girl Scouts exist for a reason. Are they going to let boys in also? We can just merge both groups into one big happy “Scouts”. I was also very saddened to learn here was talk of allowing homosexuality into BSA. I remember my scoutmaster telling us long ago how a judge said it was silly to keep to such rigid moral principles, and every Scout in the room stood up and said “i’m silly”. Please... keep yourselves mentally awake and morally straight. This is not what scouting used to stand for.
