I have been hearing from so many of you about how restrictive these new mandates feel when we are just trying to enjoy our time in the saddle. It feels like the BHS is losing sight of the spirit of hacking where personal autonomy should really take the lead. I am drafting a letter to send their way because honestly they need to understand that one size does not fit all.

Total madness. They restrict movement too much. Hope they listen to us.
Fed up with the BHS trying to dictate everything. Let us ride how we want.
Exactly. I hack out daily without one and feel perfectly safe. Keep the rules as they are.
SO TRUE. my horse hates the bulk of them and it actually makes me feel less secure in the saddle. keep it optional PLEASE!
If I want to wear one I will if I dont I wont. Stop overcomplicating things.

Ridiculous to make them mandatory. It should be down to the rider to decide what they are comfortable in. Leave it optional.
