We cannot loose this venue. It is very important to our community. Location, enjoyment and the ability to unwind. We need more of this!!! Not less!! Our children enjoy and participate, which helps them remain focused. Please do not take that away from us.

My high school career consisted of this theatre. I grew a family bond with kids here and spent countless hours getting to know myself here. It holds the best memories of my childhood, and another kid like me should have the chance to experience what I did.

This park has been run into the ground for years. Things that people enjoyed have been cut and things that people didn't want have been brought in. I understand that you have to make enough to keep the park going, but to use it as a cash cow is another story. This is a part of the downtown Joliet entertainment. Keep it where it belongs.

I speak on behalf of the entire Matichak family that this park and surrounding area have been a part of not only my generation, but that of my parents, grandparents, and past generations. Bicentennial, in many ways, represents Joliet. It's where childhoods have evolved.

I had been part of the Bicentennial Park family since the young age of 4. The staff and other theater patrons have been my family for 14 years, especially when times were tough with my own family. Bicentennial Park is my home away from home. It gives me comfort, peace, and reassurance that I have a place in this world. It is my safe place. I go there when I need to just breathe and remember that everything will be okay. If this theatre is taken away, a huge piece of my life, personality, childhood, and self will be taken away as well. This theatre means more to this community, let alone myself, than will unfortunately never be recognized. Bicentennial Park is a part of the history of Joliet and has become quite a landmark and favorite place of people from all ages. This is a place that I hold very near and dear to my heart. Bicentennial Park is the reason that I am still here. It might sound as if I am exaggerating, but, come to your surprise, I am not. As I have perviously stated, Bicentennial Park is my safe place. My favorite place to spend my days. My second family. My childhood and teenage years. My home. If this gets taken away, a piece of the history of Joliet will be taken away, along with a big piece of my life and heart. Please, reconsider the decision of taking away the favorite place and people in many, many, MANY people's lives.

Do NOT allow this. The city needs to keep this in their possession!! Too many hands in the pot if this happens causing many divisions between the citizens and leaders if this is allowed.

This is so important that the City keep Bicentennial Park. The Township wants ownership and wants $100,000. from the City of Joliet to run it. This is wrong on so many levels. PLEASE sign this petition.

I don't understand the arrangement that the county wants to have with the city.
