For 3 years I enjoyed playing in the BiCentennial Band but ended that association amicably. I do not understand what has happened to this Park that is causing the concern and would like to know in detail.

The park is a huge asset to the City of Joliet! Utilizing it with large events helps promote the city in a positive way. Please bring back Waterway Days, Pumpkin Fest, and the Father's Day weekend with the car show. Having concerts on the south side of Jefferson like New Lenox does, would be a wonderful idea also.

I have no idea why this issue was ever raised in the 1st place. The Park was the ssite of the 1st Settlement in Joliet, and was once a thriving Business District. So not only should we, as the City of Joliet Preserve the Park, but do something more to promote the History related to this area.

Seeing as this is the ONLY park in the St. Johns/st. Petersburg neighborhood we are striving to preserve what is left or our first Joliet street.
