Does not offend me or my religious beliefs, I've even taken pictures near it. Political correctness has gone over board.

The cross needs to stay, if for nothing else than it's an historical landmark.

Totally agree! Said from the beginning of this lunacy that this cross was put up by members of this public community, on public property, for public use and beauty.

I am a life long resident of Pensacola, only 34 but planning on hanging around a bit long (ok, a lot longer). I love this cross being there. Though I am a lesbian, and have been discriminated again most in this faith, I find comfort in the cross being there

I find it sad that there is so much hate towards Christianity...the cross needs to stand strong at Bayview Park

I have grown up in East hill and moved into the neighborhood in 1959. When I grew up i moved away. I returned several years ago and am now living in the house I grew up in. The cross has always been a part of the park. As a kid I spent many hours down there for various reasons. The cross is a symbol and non denominational. It was put up by folks that felt due to the location was the perfect Easter Sunday rise service area. It has been used over the years for many other things as well such as weddings. This young ignorant woman is looking for attention and fame and a spot light since she thinks running office. What is the difference she pushing her idiotic reason for removal of the cross due to religious tones or we fight to keep a historic symbol in our park. This is such a petty issue that should never have even been taken to court. She has no ties to this area. So leave us alone. Leave our symbols and heritage alone. And just so you can't say I am Christian and I go to church, we'll I'm not, I am a spiritual person and believe in a higher power and I believe we should be tolerant of all religions. When will stuff like this STOP. If you don't like the cross then stay the heck out of our neighborhood park. And watch out if you go to beach as folks have placed a cross on a dune out there. Oh and let's not forget all the churches with their crosses as well as other symbols of other religions. Just leave us alone. Our neighborhood is ours.

The cross needs to stay . Heritage is important to some of us. Our rights matter !
