They did this to my daughter's school and there were only negative results. Depression, feeling of work not being appreciated, feeling as though they were all someone that could just be thrown away without thought.

There's no reason to paint over such a long history of students AND art. Shame on this principal.

Wow I can't believe someone would just walk in and destroy history he should be ashamed of himself

As a teacher, I hope the school decides to preserve this legacy of artists showcasing their best work!

I graduated in 2006 after taking 4 years of art, and painted a portrait of Sheryl Crow. Please don't paint over it!

Each mural was earned through years of hard work and executed carefully by worthy students. Our school is unlike any other with this sprinkle of personality! Please, for the love of Zeus, let's preserve n' protect these puppies!

Too much history on those walls to just be painted over. I don't have anything up there but I took 4 years of art, 2 at that school and the other 2 at West ! Class of 82

I put forth time, effort, and heart to create the mural my senior year. It builds character, adds character to the building not to mention builds enthusiasm in the fine arts program!!! It enhances the atmosphere. Forgo institutionalized white walls!!! Build character and creativity In today's youth.

As a student of east campus and a art student whose goal is to paint my own mark on those walls of history, I beg please do not paint over something so precious and historical to our school.

I was an art student at East Campus while I didn't make it all the way to the fourth year many of my friends did and were lucky enough to paint a mural. Class of 2002

How can the principle be ignorant to paint over the murals that clearly mean something to the school and students? That's just selfish. These give the school more style, if they paint over it would be completely boring and lack creativity
