Having been a ice hockey fnd for many years from Milton Keynes I have been to this rink on many occasions. This facility MUST stay open. To shut down a popular sporting venue would be to the detriment of the town. KEEP THIS RINK OPEN

Grew up in this arena since 2006. I am here every two weeks and have been since then also. At this rink, the staff members are very polite and welcoming.
This is a treasured place to many peoples lives and could ruin what most have grown up with since childhood.
I am an also a qualified linesman in this country and work in their semi-professional hockey games regularly. It would spoil a lot of community activities that happen all the time, these ice hockey games bring a lot of people together in Basingstoke.
All is needs is care taken towards it and all the operations will go great for them. Ice skating and Ice hockey is busy in Basingstoke and deserves to stay.

As has been written about in the petition, an ice rink in Basingstoke is very much needed as so many ice hockey teams and skaters require the facility in which to train and, for the more casual skater, have fun. Ice skating is also a good way of keeping fit, especially for those who aren't gym bunnies. It is such a shame the rink has been allowed to deteriorate to such an extent that it's life span is coming to an end - much quicker than I, or anyone else who has used the rink, could've envisaged. Please support Basingstoke's ice community and provide a much needed new rink in order to keep all on-ice activities running.

Have been using the rink since they demolished the Southampton rink in the late 80’s! It is currently the nearest full size rink to Southampton and both of my daughters skate there.
