The rink is a huge part of life in Basigstoke! So many clubs and activities based there, and of course the amazing and successful Basingstoke Bison. If you wear some Bison merchandise around town, you're soon greeted by fellow fans or people with some connection to the team. And there are so many other hockey teams for all ages and skill levels that go along with it. Its inspiring for the kids. I myself have taken up skating in a big way after watching the Bison fly around the rink, so I can get the health benefits of a fun exercise. The idea of losing the rink is devastating!

My winter Saturday evenings are spent along with over 750 others watching the Basingstoke Bison. My grandchildren have recently started to take an interest is on ice activities. It would be a travesty to allow the ice rink to close. Please, please don’t allow this to happen.

Really hope the ice rink remains as skating is great for young people and also great to watch.

I first came to Basingstoke from London 10 years ago, and one of the first things I learnt about the town was how proud it was of its skating culture and that it was the only large town in th UK where Ice Skating was the dominant spectator sport (over both football and rugby). Please dont take this essential part of the towns leisure facilities from the people it means so much to.

There are not many rinks as it is and so this must be kept open. We are trying to get people fit and healthy and yet you are taking away a valuable asset.

So much talent is being wasted by ice rink closures. There are hardly any rinks as it is, and losing Basingstoke would deny many of a chance to succeed in something they might otherwise never thrive in.

I grew up going to the rink on a Friday night, I hope my kids get that same opportunity if they so wish.

This rink supports individual skaters from all over the south of England. Is the place where three Synchronised skating teams train from and is home to the Bison. Basingstoke needs this rink. Our teams need a home.

Basingstoke needs an ice rink for talented athletes and for kids just to have fun.
Keep open for children who would like to learn
Keep the rink.
Save the rink!!
