This arena means a lot to people who have grown up in Basingstoke, people who have dreams of becoming an ice hockey player, ice skater, think about the bison players, the juniors, the kids who have big dreams who have just started here, don’t get rid of the only ice rink in Basingstoke because for some people it’s a getaway, a hobby, a dream!

My children and grandchildren have used the rink over the past 30 years and my grandson plays for Bisons under 9s. We must not lose this facility.

Have been coming to this ice rink regularly for 26yrs since I was 12, mainly for the ice hockey and recreational ice skating, I now bring my daughter for the same reasons. Please please keep this rink for our town and it’s future generations.

I am aware the current rink can no longer support the activities it was built for, however, development of a new rink should be a prominant concern and priority for the local government.

Any sport on ice be it recreational or professional is a very important part of bringing groups of people together for pleasure.
If there is money there to be spent then put the money to good use and keep this passion for ice going.

The benefits of having a rink in your community are huge, fitness, friendships, society, sport, attractions, revenue. Not enough rinks in GB so Let's not close any.

My daughter is a skater at the rink and has private lessons with a coach there it would be a huge shame for her and many other to miss out on something they enjoy and love
