The ice rink is so important to the town. Not only for children to learn and enjoy ice staking. But we have a huge following for the hockey team which brings people to the town. I used to venture up the rink we used to call it every weekend... please don’t take away something that’s been part of our town for a long time.

We don't have enough ice rinks in this country as it is, so please don't close another one. Alot of people rely on the facilities they provide & the jobs they have there.

Children need more leisure facilities rather than less. If we are to deal with the current wave of childhood and adult obesity and the ensuing pressure on BHS services, the government needs to support this type of facility.

A well operated ice rink would be a huge asset to the town and borough attracting many people to visit for shows, ice hockey games or recreation. Even now with the volume of people using the rink the mind boggles how it’s not viable. However the council should learn from experience, Planet Ice should not be allowed to run it, their incompetence in all areas is astounding.
