This is an important part of the Basingstoke landscape and life style giving important recreational opportunities to locals and people from all over Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire. This is also an environment for local sports stars and employs a substantial amount of people and skilled coaches. North Hampshire needs to keep this rink!

Not all people want to spend their time rolling drunk round the top of town.
It is a fun way for children to take exercise

Are Bristol City Council aware of this? Afterall, they've handed the ice-rink contract to PI. Maybe they should be made aware that this is what happens when PI are awarded rink contracts.

The ice rink is the hub of the community, it brings visitors from all over. I have played ice hockey there for over 20 years.

Basingstoke ice rink is a much loved and we'll used leisure facility. Thousands of people from all across the South use this rink each and every week and would be sorely missed as there are no other ice sport facilities in the area.

My daughter has been coached at Basingstoke for the last 6 years, it would be a travesty if the rink was shut, please, please, please keep this facility open!

I used to go here 5 times a week in my teens and loved it, would be a shame to see it go and definitely needs a refurb!
