The amount of teams and figure skaters that use this rink is surely enough of a case for this to be kept open, that's before getting into public skating! Would be criminal for this to close!

Please keep it open! Many happy memories of my time spent here as a teenager. Would hate for young people today to miss out on such a fantastic place to go!

Keep the rink, during times where it is vital to give young people activities to do to keep them off the streets I cannot believe that closing this facility which benefits thousands of people is even under consideration.

Been going to Basingstoke Ice Rink for 20 years. Can't believe that it is even being considered to allow such a well loved facility to disappear.

Basingstoke ice rink should not be allowed to close. Plans must be made to incorporate a new rink in any leisure park redevelopment. The rink has many users and serves a valuable role in local community sport and leisure. Please think about constructing a temporary rink to span the gap between closure and a new rink opening.

This ice rink has kept my boys off the streets and taught them about team work, keeping fit and generally been their second home. Without ice hockey as a sport in Basingstoke what else will there be? With a rink that is sound and has adequate facilities the world of ice hockey at higher levels would be opened up once more. This attracts people from all over the country. It also means that large events could be booked from the rink for figure skating also.
Just see how many new rinks have just gone up in the last few years. Look at the size and quality and look at what it does for the community.
Please save our rink or build a new one.

My son attended an excellent ice hockey course here. It would be a real loss to the grassroots of this sport if the rink closed. The growth of winter outdoor rinks shows how skating is increasing in popularity. GB is hoping for its best medal count at the winter Olympics. Support the rink.
