Having watched the ice rink being built, been there for the first ever game of hockey and been a season ticket holder since day one, we are now 3 generations in and the third generation is playing junior hockey out of the rink. We have fought to keep the rink in Basingstoke more than once and are horrified that it seems to be up to 1 person to make the decision for the town. People come from near and far to use this facility (including Gosport which has its own rink), and to lose it after 30 years would be a disaster for the community.

There are not enough rinks in the country. Closing an existing one would be a disaster!

There are already precious few Ice Rinks in the area. And - it seems the rink is always busy. Please invest in the future for our kids - give them this great unique sport to say healthy and grow with.

This will be a crime to close this rink. After playing for Basingstoke IHC this will be a shame as the UK keeps losing rinks all over the UK KEEP THIS OPEN

Not enough ice hockey teams as it is. The sport can't afford to lose another. Lost my team last year and I'm still devastated now.

Don't destroy ice rink refurb it wi winter Olympics starting in Feb you need to be seen to be promoting health and fitness.
Just remember you wasted money on a stupid air tunnel that no one wanted however we DO WANT OUR ICE RINK

It would be such a shame to see this disappear. There’s not a lot of place you can live and say let’s go skating! It’s fab having it just up the road. Plus I’m a new addition to the supporters of Basingstoke Bisons, I plan on going to many more matches in Basingstoke to see them!

I am from Cardiff and spent many years going to away games at Basingstoke rink to watch ice hockey. I even worked at Basingstoke Icerink as a manager for 2 years. Would be a great loss to not have a rink in Basingstoke. Good luck everyone.

Me and my partner are moving to the town in February we come to watch the ice hockey team at the beginning of the year and really enjoyed and got to go on the ice at the end we would like to start coming more often ween we move in
