I am an avid ice hockey supporter and believe that we don’t have enough ice facilities in this county.

My granddaughter is an ice skater and spends alot of time and money at the rinkif the rink were no longer in basingstoke then there would be no more skating for her which would be a crime

There isn’t enough ice rinks about and it would be a huge shame to lose another local rink

Be an aweful shame to lose the rink, a lot of its ice users are too far from any of the other rinks such as. Racknel or Guildford to go there on a regular basis

There is such wealth of talent at Basingstoke rink -who need this facility. With less rinks throughout the uk basingstoke offers training ice for many high level figure skaters - some of whom have the potential to become great in the sport!

Facilities that encourage people to be active need to be kept open.

To allow the rink would be criminal not only people who skate there and the Bison's and all their fans but also for all for the people of Basingstoke.

I play ice hockey at the Link Centre in Swindon, as does my young son - it’s not just a rink it’s where kids make friends and have great experiences. I know Hockey in Basingstoke has been running for a long time - it would be a big shame to see no rink there!

This ice rink is needed it has given my son 8 years of pure passion with his ice hockey career. He has been a Basingstoke player solidly since he was 10 years old. Myself and partner have managed ice hockey teams for the junior Bison teams and it is a massive part of our social life. Getting rid of this rink would be a great loss to the community of Basingstoke and the people of the south of England.

It’s the best supported sporting venue in the town for both sexes & all ages.

Let’s not lose another rink! So sad when these proposals are put forward.

The rink is a much needed asset in the community, it provides a source of much needed activity and is home to many sporting clubs for young and old alike, clubs which through the years have produced many national and internationally recognised sportsmen and women. It's also the home to the best supported sports team in our community. It's an asset that CANNOT be allowed to disappear!

This is needed to give children a different recreational outlet and to invest in the development of English competitors in winter sports!!!
