It is so important for children’s health that they exercise and this is a fun safe way to do it.

We travel up from Dorset to come to the rink to watch the ice hockey! It would be such a shame if they lost this fantastic arena!

The council should support the ice rink. It is a very important and popular facility.

I believe the arena should be refurbushed and rebuilt due to it being in a good location and alot of the locals prefer ice hockey over football and the bison community is made up of families and volunteers who love the sport. Not only that the amount of figure skater. Hockey players play or skate on the ice too.

This is a valuable asset to Basingstoke - I follow the Ice Hockey and it would be sad to see if go.

This facility is really needed. It provides healthy excercise for young and old, hockey is a popular spectator sport, and it keeps kids off the streets!

Basingstoke has had an ice rink for as long as i remember it would be detrimental to stoo this facility for the younger generation especially with the influc of new housing within basingstoke and the surrounding area

Season ticket holder for the Bison. Grandparent of two junior Bison players. It is the duty of the council to keep the ice rink open for the community. It is the best attended sport in the town.

Ice Rinks provide a social and sporting facility for young and old, ablebodied and those with disabilities, whether for recreational or more serious competitive skating and hockey.

To lose this rink would be a travesty. People travel from far and wide. The Isle of Wight lost their rink, let's not let that happen here!

The rink provides a vital community service not only to the general public but all the different groups which use it. It is also the home of The Bison which is a big part of what makes Basingstoke Basingstoke

The rink is a huge part of the community which attracts skaters and fans from miles around. I travel for an hour most weekends with friends and family to watch the Bison play and, in doing so, we support local businesses through the purchasing of food, drink, bus tickets etc. Without the rink, we would simply not travel to Basinkgstoke anywhere near as frequently.
Don't take away the rink, which, for so many, provides a safe leisure space for families, kids and adults to enjoy.

Don't let Basingstoke turn into one giant shopping mall. We need the ice rink.
