Ice skating is a great form of exercise, there are so many kids teams and the Bison & Buffalo provide excellent entertainment. In the past the rink has hosted figure skating competitions that bring external visitors to Basingstoke. Please, please, please keep a rink in Basingstoke as we do have multi championship winning team.

Basingstoke Bison's have put and kept Basingstoke on the map. To take the ice rink away would be criminal and destroy a lot of people dreams and entertainment.

About eight of us travel from Maidenhead every to support the Bison, it would be a travesty if Basingstoke lost their ice rink especially now Bison are 2017/18 league champions.

Ice rink is a much used building, it is a great form of exercise and a strong community use the place so keep it open and upgrade the facilities and see how much more it gets used

Closing this rink is not only sad for all the users locally but in the wider area. With the closure of Bournemouth and with no rinks between gosport and guildford, it’s an essential facility for the wider region too.

Absolutely obsured that Planet Ice seem to think it’s OK to take the money pumped in by the general public and not invest in its centres infrastructure. The Government is warning us that obesity levels in adults and children are climbing to an alarming rate. How is it therefore OK for an ice rink which serves a dual function; enjoyment and exercise, to be closed down? I have read reports that a 5Guys burger bar is being added to the Brighton Hill retail park - do we actually need another burger bar...? To see this ice rink close would be an absolute travesty!

The ice rink is a main attraction to our lesuire park used by many children and adults, hockey players. The ice rink should remain open!
