me and my family have been supporters of Basingstoke ice hockey team since the Wella beavers days and Saturdays will not be the same with out the Basingstoke Bison even our 16month old grand daughter has been going since she was just 5 weeks old and gets excited when she puts her shirt on. the atmosphere rocks on a Saturday night. Basingstoke needs its ice rink

What is life with out enjoyment! Stop sucking the life out of leisure facilities & promote health, well being, team work, fair play ... the list goes on! Keep the ice rink.

Signing this as an Ice Hockey fan.
No large town or city should be without a rink, it provides valuable recreational facilities for everyone within the local community. With ice sports in general becoming increasingly popular within our culture, to allow a town the size of Basingstoke to go without a rink is incredibly shortsighted by the local council.
Romford, a town with a smaller population than Basingstoke has recently had a new rink built with full support from Havering Borough Council.

We lost our ice rink in Stevenage, Hertfordshire to a carpet store. The rink was so popular, it was devastating when it went. Such a marvellous thing to do, please keep the Basingstoke rink open! It's too late for us in Stevenage, don't let it happen to Basingstoke!

This is a great facility which is utilised by all. Ice Hockey is a must have sport to teach the youngster team sport and commitment

You have a good ice hockey team and a great youth system, you must keep the ice rink, or even look at a joint partnership with the council.

We are loosing to many rinks in this country we need more rinks at less skating costs. Also need to get involved with other sports teams locally

Just been through this in grimsby, our rink is now community run and holding it's own, I carnt understand why people want to lose a unique sport from there area
