We can't afford to loose anymore ice rinks. Ice hockey is the most watched sport in Basingstoke.

Communities need facilities like this to lead rich and varied lives. How many times have we seen a connection between young people turning to crime and a lack of extra curricular facilities available to them. This rink provides so many people with the ability to join in and do a variety of sports and hobbies; it would be a crying. Shame to close it down.

We need rinks across the country or the leagues for which the teams play in with be seriously affected. Too many rinks are shutting or just forgotten about.

Ice Hockey has a noticibly increasing following in the U.K. and the Basingstoke Bisons are a quality team who deserve a facility and a home to continue operating. If we don't invest in the infrastructure to support the growth of ice hockey as a sport then we are stunting it's potential. Basingstoke's councillors should see that while ice hockey may not be a sport that they are directly invested in, a significant portion of the town's population are!

As a Medway member of the Ice Hockey Family I feel we need to do more to keep or build new ice rinks in Britain. Good luck.

This is widely used in Basingstoke. Bemused if the Authorities are so short sighted. Keep it going and incorporate a new rink within the new leisure development

This ice rink has been allowed to decay. It needs repairing or replacing as soon as possible.
