Being a long time MK ice hockey fan I know how important it is to have a ice rink in the local community. I've experienced it once in the 90's with my local ice rink shut down for few years and it did have a effect on the local community. A few years ago it got a reburb and the place is thriving. So Basingstoke council needs to stop worrying about £££ and get behind what's best for the local community.

My son is hopefully going to Southampton University and this will be his nearest rink.

This Ice Rink is the home to the Basingstoke Bison and if this rink closes with no replacement in place the Bison may cease to exist. this can not be allowed to happen. I would therefore urge Basingstoke Bison is found

It would be a travesty for the ice rink in Basingstoke to be lost.

Keeping an operational ice rink in Basingstoke can only positively affect the health and wellbeing of the general public, as well as bringing revenue to the local economy from visiting hockey fans.

Keep the ice rink! - i came back to Basingstoke from London for it! In fact you should give it MORE funding for some of the talented kids that learn there & travel from all over the south

This is very important to me. I am a figure skater by nature. The closure of this ice rink with only have detrimental effect on not only myself but every single person that uses this rink as a place of passion, work, and sport. It is a rink of love and fun something that everyone needs a little more of these days.

The council have stood by for years watching the facility reach its current state. It would be tragic to lose the rink from the town.

Don’t underestimate the draw the ice rick has not just to the residents of Basingstoke but from many towns and villages around. Basingstoke offers the chance to do something different even if that’s clinging to the side laughing with friends.

This rink is so important. In a time where our country is so devided. When community is nearly a thing of the past. This rink represents a place where adults and children can come togeather as a community and thrive. Please help us all keep keep it

Ice skating is a great form of exercise, there are so many kids teams and the Bison & Buffalo provide excellent entertainment. In the past the rink has hosted figure skating competitions that bring external visitors to Basingstoke. Please, please, please keep a rink in Basingstoke!
