There are not enough ice rinks as it is without closing them down. The.Spectrum in Guildford was thought to be a white elephant when kit was built but time proved every one wrong. The trouble is since the council turned it over to private owners it has it has gone downhill, biggest problem is owners want to make big bucks and to hell with providing a service as the council did

If we loose Basingstoke ice rink lots of people kids and adults alike will loose any opportunity to enjoy the hockey, public skate, figure skating and atmosphere of the place.

The ice rink is a vital part of Basingstoke. I've been a hockey fan for many years and a skater in my younger years. I want to take my own children to learn to skate there too.

Basingstoke ice rink have helped our clubs out while Slough ice rink is closed for refurbishment. Please save this rink for all its user groups.
