Please keep Basingstoke ice ring. Update it but keep it.
My daughter does synchro there and loves it.
Keeps the kids off the streets and also allows them to have friends outside of school. Always a good thing.

As the parent of a junior hockey player I believe this rink is a valuable local resource. Since my son started playing a year ago, he has learnt the importance of working as part of a team, discipline and I mproved fitness levels.
At a time when we are been told that the country is facing an obesity epedemic surely it is important to offer a wide variety of sporting facilities for the community to use in order to help prevent this epedemic from getting any worse.

My son and I skated there for 6 years and despite some issues, we have fond memories of our time there including all our Christmas shows. Basingstoke needs an ice rink.
