Not having an ice rink would be a huge detriment to the area and the community.

Please keep our ice rink, I’m fed up with houses, fast food restaurants going up all over the place. I would rather my son play hockey and ice skate as part of keeping fit. The government talk about kids being obese, please let’s not take this away as it helps keep our kids and adults fit.

It's a great facility which is very much needed in the south of the country. We should be promoting sports not closing them down.

The Basingstoke ice hockey set-up is incredibly important to the overall health of the game in the south of England. Lots of history and heritage and a strong potential future that can't be thrown away.

While there is a worldwide obesity epidemic we need to keep all athletic venues open and encourage more people to use them not close them!

Hockey is a way of life, not supporting this as an American and avid hockey fan and player would be disingenuous. Go bison!

So many benefit from this sporting activity, which surely improves health and mental wellbeing. If you close this down what will everyone who enjoys this, do instead? PLEASE SAVE IT!!

Our local elected and non elected officials have a duty to ensure that the citizens of our region have access to this or a replacement facility. Furthermore the club's that are based there represent the town and it's people in a competitive environment and should be rewarded and supported by the powers that be.
