My son, daughter-in-law and grandson regularly attend Bison games as a family. My grandson (10 years old) also plays for the Junior Team - fantastic way for him to keep fit and enjoy being part of a team. KEEP THE RINK VIABLE AND AVAILABLE!! Families and the youngsters of Basingstoke will miss out on so much if this facility closes.

This must be kept open. The Bison are an outstanding team and it would be a shame for them to have to relocate.

My son Sean Smith played ice hockey for the juniors.under 21 and the recreational teams until until was killed in a car crash.Also worked in the kitchen ad well as myself and my other son Lee .his wife Heidi all worked there I myself worked there for 9 1 /2 as skate hire then in catering was made catering supervisor done all the buffets for the hockey matches so it mean a lot to out family as my Grandchildren now go skating with their parents x

We have a fun ice hockey rec group with 186 members of all abilities playing rec hockey throughout the year. Basingstoke Ice Pirates very much appreciate the ice rink.
Please keep the rink open!

When family pursuits are vast disappearing it seems totally ridiculous to shut yet another venue down! Will we be completely dependent on virtual reality in the future?! what a SAD and DISPICABLE waste for a council to be complicit in the closing down of the Basingstoke Ice Rink. Shame on you!

I have supported the Ice Hockey at the rink since it was founded and attend regularly with other family members. My children, and hopefully grandchildren if they have the opportunity, have/will also enjoyed skating here themselves. I see no sense in not retaining the ice rink as part of this development and am hugely disappointed that this is even being considered by the council.

I'm signing this petition Henry and all the other little boys and girls who play ice hockey for Basingstoke, Ice hockey is their life and the guys in the senior team are incredible role models to all the children
