My Daughter & Granddaughter have to travel from Hamble to Basingstoke ice rink to lessons,as this is the best in the area.Why take this away from people to use when Drs are encouraging people to exercise and enjoy activities making lives happier.l say KEEP IT OPEN Shame on the council

Keep the ice rink open - it's an amenity that gives so much pleasure to those who skate and those who go to watch.

The ice rink is currently home to a diverse range of teams and individuals who benefit hugely from the use of the ice.
Any plans to refurbish or redevelop the site must take into consideration the positive impact the sporting and recreational use of the ice has on the local community.

There are few enough facilities for ice hockey so to consider closing this one that serves such a large catchment area and provides an opportunity for children to thrive in a team sport is a travesty.

There isn't much to do in Basingstoke,so if you take this away there won't be much else. Maybe make it a bit cheaper and people will come.

A leisure centre is NOT shops, children and adults love the ice rink, people come to the rink on a Saturday evening to watch the Bison that live out of Basingstoke,

This is a part of Basingstoke sporting history and the legacy of teams and all involved to this point should be kept for the future. The town will be less without the rink and the hockey teams.

I regularly visit the ice rink for family days out and to watch ice hockey. An ice rinks is a fantastic leisure facility for the community and we are lucky to have one. Keep a rink in Basingstoke!!!
