As a competitive figure skater currently at University the only way I can maintain my training during the week is at Basingstoke ice rink and it would be a terrible shame to see it go. Not only that but it is the home to the figure skating club from my university and the closure of the rink would very likely prevent many people from skating at all.

Basingstoke needs an ice rink to help continue British hockey development. Having sport in a community is a necessity and to remove a facility like this is truly incomprehensible

I Started out playing here and had the best time playing, I would love to watch my son and daughter play here one day and also I met my fiancee here playing ice hockey. Basingstoke have good teams that play out off this rink and these teams are what Basingstoke is about.

We love the ice rink. It could do with a vamp and some cheaper rates, but the whole family love it.
