Please ensure that ice hockey remains viable in Basingstoke, not only for those fans who attend week in and week out, but particularly for the junior players who love the sport and aspire to play, one day, for their home team.

Excellent facility. Never busy but always bring used. It be greater loss than people will realise. When it is gone it will be a huge loss

If t wasn’t for the Basingstoke ice rink and the amazing staff I wouldn’t have got into playig ice hockey this rink is key to giving people around the area somewhere to go and something todo

As well as Basingstoke, the rink services a huge part of the South, with many people frequently visiting from other home counties and as far as Dorset.
It would be a travesty for Basingstoke to lose it's rink facility and would show how little local government cares about keeping people of all ages active.
The rink has been run into the ground in recent years, but with proper maintenance, marketing and promotion, the ice rink would be a major attaraction to people in and around the area.

The ice rink at Basingstoke is crucial for the continued operation of the Basingstoke Bison hockey team which is a valued member of the local league, As a regular away supporter to the venue from Swindon it would be a shame if the venue were to disappear and thus our contribution to local income would also disappear,

My son has been associated with rink as player for a number of years and has worked behind the scenes as one of the employees working behind the scenes helping to maintain he rink in difficult circumstances. The demise of the Arena on the Isle of Wight is well documented with the number of people affected by its closure. Clearly Ice Hockey in Basingstoke is a big part of many peoples lives in the area both on an off the ice. Let’s hope the Council / Planet Ice/Developers can come up with a solution quickly. The Bison Players, Fans , Employees, and others who depend on the Rink deserve nothing less.
