This is a popular ice rink and there are not many nearby. We travel from Reading, and plenty of other people come to Basingstoke just for this, and probably wouldn't if it was gone.

Used the ice rink since it opened, my children now use the ice rink. For a town as big as Basingstoke to lose its ice rink is a disgrace. We have already lost our football stadium for Basingstoke, don’t let this happen with the ice rink too.

Ice Hockey and ice sports are increasing in popularity especially with The GB senior hockey winning promotion to the top division in the world for the first time in 25 years, its important that britain maintains present facilities and encourages new ones.
