Having grown up around ice skating and ice hockey especially for so long even my own children now follow in our footsteps to lose another rink would be devastation, it’s not just a sport or hobby it’s part of so many lives for various reasons - do the right thing and don’t take it away!

My 8 year old son plays for the junior Bison under 9's team. It's the only activity he does and it's really important to him and his team mates.

Shocking that another rink is looking like closure - how are we supposed to grow the sport when our already limited ice gets less and less!

This is a rink that I have coached in and my son turned professional, going on to win 55 GB senior caps. I also coached the current bison player Kurt Reynolds. It would be a tragedy if the rink was to close

One of the top ice hockey clubs in the country needs to be kept going. The ice rink attracts many people to Basingstoke who spend money in other town businesses such as restaurants pubs shops rec.

Keep this rink open. We need to recognise ice sports such as Ice hockey and figure skating and encourage people to join in and support the sports.

We desperately need to keep this sports facility open, this was where my boys started their successful careers in ice hockey, both as coaches & players for GB!

I used the rink last week with some of my students who have special needs. They had a great time and I was hoping to use it more frequently.

This needs to stay open with some money spending on a refurb. There are so many people use this rink for hockey and also fun times with public skating.

Seems typical of our councils not fully supporting sporting opportunities within the local community. It’s no wonder kids give up sport.
